Androgynous Handbags: Altona

Androgyny is an interesting phenomenon. In the past decade it has become a style rather than a fashion, and it seems to be spreading all over the world. Songs have been composed about it. Performers have themselves adopted the manner. Metrosexual men have the skin of twelve-year-olds that haven’t been hit by puberty. Jewelry is no longer reserved for women. Actresses complete their boyish looks with massive watches. Whoever saw “the one with joey’s bag” Friend’s episode remembers with nostalgic laughter the mocking reaction over his man-bag…

Basically, androgyny all over the place and what I love about it most is the creativity that is being put into designs that are lacking a gendered identity.

Louis Vuitton’s Altona is a perfect example of what I mean: Not only does the design erase any traces of gender identity, but it compromises neither functionality nor aesthetic value: the soft texture, superb golden metallic hardware and a subdivided interior make for a briefcase that satisfies beyond any practical concerns, while the exquisite Damier canvas and the brown cowhide handle take on the sweet air of success in the design.

It stands in the middle ground of universality, which makes it the perfect complement for any business attire.

What’s your style?

There is such a wide variety of designs and styles of handbags, watches, jewelry and other accessories, that we are often tempted to just wear them all, because they are so pretty, because it is so elegant, luxurious or just pleasant. Yet we are looking to create a harmonious whole, not a cluster of pretty things that simply don’t go together. But this aesthetic harmony goes beyond a successful combination of external elements, it also needs to be in accordance to your personality, otherwise the most genuine object will seem fake.

Good fashion is a delicate balance between design and efficiency, that is why different accessories and attires match different people for different occasions. It is what you get in your bag what should, in great measure, determine what bag you carry!

So which is the right style for you?

How to spot a good/bad replica?

This post is intended as a guide for all of you interested in buying designer replica handbags, but don’t know what to look for.

One of the most important factors is the manufacturer of the product. Make sure you investigate the company from which you are about to purchase the handbags. Find out what previous customers have to say about them. Nobody wants to or should do business with mediocre companies who do not keep their end of the bargain, or even worse, try to scam you.

Second, you want to make sure that you receive all the information on the future purchase. Do not ask questions like “how good is your product?”. Representatives are not necessarily trustworthy.

What you need to ask is:

1)”How do you manufacture your items? Do you use the same materials, measurements and design?”
2)”Are the bags in the picture your bags or are they from someplace else?”
3)”Will I receive what I see in the picture?”
4)”How can you guarantee that I will receive my merchandise with no problems from customs?”

Their answers should tell you whether you are getting your money’s worth, on one hand, and on the other, if you do not get what you expect, you know that your complain will not go unanswered.

Spotting a good replica requires that you actually go to the original websites from time to time. Pictures can be deceiving. The same bag can be appealing in a picture but not so much in reality and viceversa. When buying designer replica online you basically shop by looking at the pictures on their website, so try to see what the original looks like.

So how to differenciate a replica from the original? If the exterior is perfect, the only thing that can give away the replica is the factory code imprinted on it. Since it is made in a different factory than the original, most likely the factory code will differ. Fortunately for all, the factory codes are hidden inside the bag practically undetectable; and most of the times their location is kept secret to try to diminish the ammount of people who can tell the difference between the copy and the original.

If you have further questions or comments on the matter, please don’t hesitate to post them. Also, if you are looking for further information on replica products, you can check out this article on watches.

As a potential customer, your comments are crucial, so that it is very important that you comment on changes you consider should be made, on the quality of the products, or on bags that you would like to see replicated. Most websites, like 7star Handbags, Basic Replica , Sofias Replica have a “tell/contact us” section for you to turn to.
