The famous producer, singer, song writter and skateboarder Pharell Wiliams teamed up with Louis Vuitton a few years ago and helped rise the Louis Vuitton empire even more than it already was. He featured in various Louis Vuitton advertisements and it seems that the style of Louis Vuitton has grown on him ever since.
Pharell and Louis Vuitton’s latest project is a lovely jewelry line called Blason which comes at incredible prices between $2,070 and $621,000(more than the average person can afford). The famous rapper colaborated on the jewlery line with Louis Vuitton’s top consultant Camille Miceli(who recently switched sides as she was previously working for Chanel).
What The LV/Pharell team will come up next is uncertain but the jewely line is a smashing succes between his celebrity antourage so only time will tell if it will have the same succes with the non-billionare crowd.
Face it, I don’t think there is a girl in the world who does not own or would love to own a Louis Vuitton bag. Even today when I was sitting at a nondescript coffee shop eating lunch with my husband, he leans over and points out a lady at the next table sporting a gorgeous Denim Mahina that he recognized as a Louis Vuitton creation. This is the man who normally has difficulty choosing a color of shirt to buy and insists that the 80’s was the best fashion era ever! Anyway, this stylish mum was sporting an LV Mahina on one arm and a baby on the other - the Mahina is so roomy it makes an excellent diaper and baby bag and she didn’t have to compromise on style for practicality. That is what I mean about Louis Vuitton - for generations they have been creating gorgeous yet workable bag and luggage solutions including briefcases, trolley bags and passport holders that look great and do their job well.
LV are beginning to branch out into bolder and more vivid designs with the introduction of Murakami bright designs and Marc Jacobs into the family. Designs such as the Watercolor Speedy have left keen customers with longer than average waiting times due to their popularity, with Vuitton still enjoying a huge following for creations such as the classical Monogram and Mini Lin Croisette. So which is your LV favorite?
Our Babe with the Bag this week is none other than the Vuitton Queen herself, Jessica Simpson. Unlike some of our other bag Princesse’s, Jessica tends to stay true to her brand of choice, Louis Vuitton. She is occasionally seen sporting a Michael Kors or Fendi tote, but more often than enough Jessica prefers a classic monogram canvas Vuitton such as this LV Manhattan GM . Designed by Marc Jacobs, the Manhattan exudes urban-feminine style with the chunky gold hardware, complimenting the classic Monogram canvas that has made Louis Vuitton a household name. Perfect for a girl around town such as Jessica, the bag features functional storage spaces for phone, wallet and accesories. Not just another pretty face, unlike poor Jessica….

Spring has sprung in the Northern Hemisphere, and what could be cuter than a pair of wedge sandals to match all those sundresse’s, crop pants and little shorts this season? And of course an enviable French LV label for added joie de vivre - roll on summer!

For the price of a luxury vehicle, the Louis Vuitton bag is actually pieces of oldLouis Vuitton bags from over the years, sewn together by hand.
